Discussions of this year’s Greene County Reads selection, Orphan Train by Christina Baker Kline, are this Thursday, April 16.
Discussions are slated for 9 am at the Churdan public library, 2 pm at the Rippey public library, and 7 pm at the Scranton public library. Jan Scharingson will lead the discussions. Every discussion is open to all readers so persons are free to attend whichever session best fits his or her schedule.
All six Greene County libraries still have copies of the book to check out. The book is an “easy read,” and still do-able for many readers with only a few days left. Those who plan to attend one of the discussions is asked to call their local library to RSVP to assist in planning for refreshments and materials.
There is no charge. Greene County Reads is a cooperative project of the Greene County libraries and the Greene County board of supervisors.
